Job summary

Leidos in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Operations Shift Lead for the 3rd shift (9 PM–5 AM) to manage a secure, automated web services operation. This on-site role requires strong incident management, cross-team coordination, and leadership under pressure.

You will drive monitoring, incident triage, and post-incident reviews while mentoring junior staff and maintaining runbooks and documentation. A TS/SCI clearance and DoD IAT II certs are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related experience in Windows or Linux server environments.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required for this position.
• DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II (e.g., Security+ CE) required.
• Candidate may be asked to obtain CI Poly in future.
• Comfortable working 24×7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience leading an operations team or senior escalation point.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Splunk and ITIL incident/change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate operations tasks during assigned shifts.
• Oversee monitoring of network, servers, applications, and infrastructure for outages and performance issues; own incident triage, escalation, and resolution through closure.
• Coordinate with network, systems, security, application, and vendor teams.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, escalation procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Review alerts and incidents for trends, recurring problems, and potential improvements.
• Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate operational documentation.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance during complex incidents.
• Prepare incident reports, shift summaries, and operational metrics.
• Participate in major incident management and post-incident reviews.
