Job summary

GovCIO in El Paso, TX is seeking a Senior Network (NOC) Administrator with an active Secret clearance for monitoring, troubleshooting, and sustainment of mission-critical network infrastructure. This fully onsite role requires deep enterprise networking expertise and strong documentation skills.

Shift work includes overnights and weekends. Salary range posted: USD 95,000–120,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and hold suitable status.
• Extensive experience supporting enterprise network infrastructures.
• Proficiency with Cisco technologies and virtualization (VMware ESXi).
• Strong knowledge of telecom WAN technologies and protocols.
• Excellent technical documentation and SOP improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network stability and performance to maintain operations.
• Troubleshoot network and systems issues; document steps and escalate as needed.
• Monitor UPS health, server performance, event logs, and performance counters.
• Update and maintain System Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Open, track, and manage service tickets with WAN vendors.
• Troubleshoot WAN issues (ISDN, ATM, SONET, related telecoms).
• Work with Cisco, Juniper, and Forerunner hardware and tools.
• Utilize Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, ISE, ASDM, SL1, Catalyst Center, and WLCs.
