Job summary

VSO Inc. in Edwards, CA is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on day-to-day administration of mission networks, ensuring requirements are communicated and implemented while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of network engineering experience (or 8+ with AA) and CCNA/Network+ certification. This is an on-site role with limited travel; eligibility for a Public Trust clearance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Network Engineering experience OR AA/AS with 8+ years.
Active CCNA or Network+ certification strongly preferred.
Experience administering enterprise LAN/WAN networks including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.
Experience integrating network-connected appliances and certificate lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

Provide dedicated network administration for mission network infrastructure.
Monitor LAN/WAN environments including VLANs, DNS/DHCP, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls).
Manage network-connected appliances (PDUs, NTP, printers, clocks) and encryption standards.
Maintain documentation in CMDB and IP address management.
Coordinate requirements with cybersecurity, systems, and operations teams.
Provide weekly status updates on tasks and appliance compliance.
