Job summary

Highrise AI is seeking an experienced Network/Systems Engineer to provide 24x7 NOC oversight for its AI cloud infrastructure. You will ensure rapid response to service impacts, manage compute/storage/network resources, and handle customer escalations in a high-stakes environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in high-scale, 24x7 operations, OpenStack or private cloud experience, and strong knowledge of VLANs, VXLAN, BGP/OSPF. Hybrid or remote work options may apply based on location.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience with directly supporting customers using compute infrastructure at scale in 24x7 environments.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in network and systems operations in large scale compute environments.
• Experience supporting OpenStack or similar open cloud platforms, or strong adjacent experience with modern private cloud stacks a plus.
• Solid understanding of network technologies including VLANs, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, NSX or similar SDN technologies, routing, switching, and load balancing.

Responsibilities

• 24x7 Persistent Vigilance and Response: oversee NOC workflows to resolve critical issues with urgency.
• Manage impacts to compute, storage, and network resource pools to meet SLA commitments.
• Respond to customer escalations during business hours and in on-call rotation.
• Lead incident management and drive impact prevention actions.
• Documentation, Enablement, and Collaboration: create and maintain clear runbooks and standards.
• Drive automation to reduce toil and extend observability in your focus area.
• Work directly with customers to understand use cases and improve reliability and performance.
• Bring the voice of the customer to product and platform teams to ensure needed features are delivered.
