Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager, Warehouse to drive safety, service, and cost targets across our Salem/Roanoke area facilities.

You will lead Warehouse Managers, coach staff, and optimize processes to ensure accurate receiving, storage, and outbound loading while maintaining compliance with safety standards. The role emphasizes people development, teamwork, and operational excellence, with awareness of union dynamics and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in warehouse supervision.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in the warehouse.
• Oversee and develop Warehouse Managers through coaching and training.
• Oversee and develop all warehouse associates and retention.
• Create a cohesive organization by maintaining open lines of communication.
• Build high-performing teams through staffing and performance reviews.
• Develop flow processes and cost-reduction strategies; ensure compliance with procedures.
• Oversee load planning and ensure timely truck completion.
• Monitor inventory losses, production goals, and safety reports.
