Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to act as a high-level escalation expert for NG911 call-taking and dispatching solutions.

You will diagnose complex issues remotely, collaborate with Product Development and Field Services, and maintain lab configurations to ensure reliability. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical support or public safety operations, and the ability to obtain government background clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in technical support, system engineering, or public safety operations.
• Experience in high-stakes technical escalation and supporting NG911/dispatching environments.
• Ability to obtain background clearance; US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 4 technical support and escalation resolution for NG911 call-taking and dispatching solutions.
• Dissect complex system architectures, server infrastructure, and database layers to troubleshoot incidents.
• Manage and resolve complex trouble tickets with clear communication to customers and leadership.
• Interface with Product Development to test, validate, and deploy future technologies.
• Deliver on-call coverage and travel for onsite engineering support when needed.
