Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer to act as a high-level escalation point for NG911 call-taking and dispatching. In a US-based remote capacity, you will diagnose complex system architecture, networking, and telephony issues impacting public safety operations.

You will collaborate with Product Development and Field Services to validate technologies, maintain lab configurations, and ensure system reliability. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication required for written and verbal interaction with customers and stakeholders.
• Proficient in Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7/10, Linux/UNIX environments and network infrastructure.
• Experience with LAN/WAN troubleshooting, Cisco CCNA concepts, Windows Domain architecture, and Active Directory integration.
• Telephony systems knowledge including Analog/Digital, VoIP, PBX, SS7 and routing.
• Hardware and systems experience with Dell/HP servers, GIS, and database integrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 4 technical support and escalation resolution for NG911 Call Taking and Dispatching solutions.
• Dissect complex system architectures, server infrastructure, and database layers to troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to fulfill onsite engineering support and training shifts.
• Create site-specific procedures and maintain lab configurations for testing and validation.
