Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a System Engineer III, Network to support academic, research and healthcare missions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years directly related experience
• Or a high school diploma and nine years directly related experience
• Or a Masters’ degree and 3 years directly related experience
• 7+ years of Network experience is preferred
• Must possess strong interpersonal, project management, analytical and communication skills
• Experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers and monitoring applications
• Knowledge of communication or information systems, voice and data networking operations
• Knowledge and technical expertise in networking protocols, security, and wireless communications

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for network services and resolve complex technical issues
• Develop documentation, communications, processes, and educational plans related to network change management
• Lead projects and participate in team and project meetings
• Coach and transfer knowledge to peers and staff
• Maintain high professional standards and customer service in daily tasks
• Ensure timely resolution of network issues and continuous improvement of services
