Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a System Engineer II, Network to join Information Solutions. This role supports network services across MUSC's academic, research and healthcare missions, resolving complex issues and contributing to design, implementation and operations of the network.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and six years directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree and two years directly related experience required; or a Masters’ Degree in a related field.
• Four years of Network experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support network services and resolve complex technical issues.
• Develop documentation, communications, processes, and plans to identify and remove obstacles to, and mitigate the disruption of change related to the design, management, implementation, and operations of the network.
• Take a role in projects; participate in team and project meetings and provide input on solutions to improve efficiency.
• Transfer knowledge to peers and staff; maintain high professional standards and excellent customer service.
