Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a System Engineer II, Network to support MUSC’s academic, research, and healthcare missions. Under supervision, you’ll help design, implement, and operate network services while resolving complex issues with strong analytical and communication skills.

You will contribute to documentation, processes, and change planning, ensuring timely network issue resolution.

Qualifications

High school diploma with six years related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with two years related experience OR Master’s Degree in a related field.
Four years of network experience preferred.
Experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers, monitoring apps).
Knowledge of networking protocols, security, and wireless communications.

Responsibilities

Support network services and resolve complex technical issues.
Generate documentation, communications, processes, and plans to mitigate disruption from changes.
Ensure timely resolution of network issues and participate in projects and meetings.
Transfer knowledge to peers and staff while maintaining high professional standards and customer service.
