Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Systems Engineer III, Network, to support our academic, research and healthcare missions. You will work with routing, switching, VOIP, wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls and authentication services, acting as SME for network services and guiding resolution of complex issues.

You will document changes, develop processes, and mentor peers while maintaining high professional standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of related experience.
• Alternate: high school diploma with nine years of related experience.
• Master’s degree with at least three years of related experience.
• 7+ years of network experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, project management, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for network services and resolve complex issues.
• Lead projects and ensure timely resolution of network issues.
• Create documentation, processes and educational plans for network changes.
• Coach peers and transfer knowledge while upholding professional standards and customer service.
