Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to design, implement, and support network services for consulting clients. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Practice Leads, and lead cross-functional projects to deliver client solutions on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive certifications, and hands-on experience with Cisco/HP/Aruba gear. You will stay current with industry practices while driving excellent customer outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Two or more professional level certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA).
Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions.
Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network gear.
IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS experience and best practices.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Practice Leaders to create and maintain documents and procedures.
Lead large projects with PMs and Practice Leads to meet timelines and budgets.
Provide leadership and clarity to Project Management and engineers on success criteria.
Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
Communicate project status daily with stakeholders and manage timelines, resources, and concerns.
Foster collaboration across business units to deliver a world-class customer experience.
Educate sales teams on product choices, configurations, and best practices.
