Job summary

Heartland Business Systems seeks a Technical Architect to design, implement and support network services for consulting clients. You will mentor engineers and build customer-focused relationships to translate business challenges into solid technical specs.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with PMs, and experience with Cisco/Aruba environments. You will advance core networking skills and contribute to best practices while growing with a premier Midwest technology VAR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications or experience.
• At least two or more professional level certifications.
• Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS experience and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Lead large projects with Project Managers to deliver on time and budget.
• Provide leadership to Engineers and ensure timely, accurate task completion.
• Act as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Give daily project updates and communicate timelines and resources.
