Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services and solutions for clients. You will mentor others, build customer-focused relationships, and translate business challenges into specifications and requirements.

You will lead engineers on multi-technology projects, collaborate with Practice Leads, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining professional standards and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience.
• At least two or more Professional level certifications.
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA.
• Experience designing and architecting network based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices.
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design.
• Maintain an outcome focused mindset and strong prioritization.
• Team player and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role by collaborating with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Execute on large projects with Project Managers to meet time and budget goals.
• Provide leadership and guide Engineers to complete tasks accurately and timely.
• Be the Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Provide daily updates to the Project Management Team and stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration between business units to deliver a world-class customer experience.
• Demonstrate excellent communication in team and customer meetings.
• Contribute to product selection and research, configuration standards and best practices.
• Educate sales teams on products and services to enable selling.
• Work in a team atmosphere with regional and virtual practices.
