Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients while mentoring others. You will build customer-focused relationships to define specifications and requirements for optimal solutions.

You will lead engineers on multi-technology projects and collaborate across teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery. The role emphasizes leadership, networking expertise, and ongoing certification maintenance in a collaborative

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience.
• At least two or more Professional level certifications.
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA.
• Experience designing and architecting network based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices.
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2/L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS.
• Maintain an outcome focused mindset.
• Have strong prioritization skills.
• Always be a team player.
• Carry a professional attitude and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role by collaborating with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Execute on large projects with Project Managers on time and on budget.
• Provide leadership and direct Engineers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.
• Be the Lead Engineer on projects that have multiple different technologies.
• Provide daily updates on all projects and communicate timelines, hours, resources, concerns, etc.
• Collaborate between different business units to provide a world class customer experience.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and lead team and customer meetings.
• Contribute to product selection, research, configuration standards and educate sales teams.
• Grow professionally following the Engineering skills matrix and maintain certifications.
