Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients. You will mentor engineers, lead multi-technology projects, and build strong client relationships to translate business challenges into robust network solutions.

You will collaborate with Practice Leads and Project Managers, maintain documentation, and stay current with certifications while guiding teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical field
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience
• At least two Professional level certifications
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA
• Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures
• Execute on large projects with Project Managers and Practice Leads
• Provide leadership and guide Engineers to complete tasks accurately and timely
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects
• Provide daily project updates and effective communication on timelines and resources
• Foster collaboration between business units to deliver a world-class customer experience
• Lead customer meetings with strong communication skills
• Contribute to product selection and best practices and educate sales teams
• Maintain professional demeanor and teamwork across regional and virtual practices
• Grow skill set per engineering roadmap including certifications and project experience
• Meet annual billable hour goals defined by HBS
