Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients. The role involves mentoring engineers, leading multi-technology projects, and building strong customer relationships to define specifications and deliver optimal solutions.

You will collaborate with Practice Leads and Project Managers to ensure timely, on-budget delivery while maintaining high technical standards and professional conduct across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field
• At least two Professional level certifications
• Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions
• Strong leadership and collaboration across teams
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures
• Lead large projects on time and on budget with PMs and Practice Leads
• Provide leadership and direction to engineers for timely task completion
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects
• Maintain daily project updates and proactive communication with stakeholders
• Foster collaboration between business units to deliver a world-class customer experience
• Educate sales teams on products and services to drive solutions
• Grow professionally following the Engineering skills matrix
• Meet annual billable hour goals as defined by HBS

Education

Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience
