Job summary

Fortinet is actively seeking a Professional Services Engineer to join our team in a client-facing consulting role. The position focuses on defining daily activities with end users under a contractual engagement and delivering Fortinet-based security architectures.

Ideal candidates have extensive LAN/WAN and network security experience, with Fortinet product knowledge, strong troubleshooting, and excellent communication. Domestic travel is required as needed to support customers globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support and/or administration
• 5+ years in Network Security products
• 2+ years with Fortinet products
• Experience as Professional Services Consultant/Engineer a plus
• Solid understanding of security and networking principles
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines
• Willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Assisting client staff with Fortinet product operation and support
• Developing methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades, and updates
• Developing test plans and testing new features/releases
• Verifying configurations and applying best practices
• Performing interoperability evaluation of devices interacting with Fortinet products
• Training and knowledge transfer to client staff
• Maintaining core competency on Fortinet product line
• Resolving or escalating issues promptly
