Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to join our team. You will be assigned to the end user for the duration of the engagement and work with them to define daily activities, migrations, upgrades, and test plans.

You will verify configurations, train client staff, and maintain Fortinet product competency while collaborating with internal and client teams. The role requires extensive LAN/WAN and network security experience, Fortinet product knowledge, strong troubleshooting,

Qualifications

7+ years LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support or administration.
5+ years experience with Network Security Products.
2+ years experience with Fortinet products.
Experience as a Professional Services Consultant/Engineer is a plus.
Strong understanding of security and networking principles and technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assisting client staff with day to day Fortinet products operation and support.
Development of procedures for migrations, upgrades and updates.
Development of test plans and testing of new features/releases.
Verifying configurations and applying best practices.
Interoperability evaluation of devices interacting with Fortinet products.
Training and knowledge transfer to client staff.
Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet’s product line and technologies.
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
