Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and build our security architecture spanning firewall, segmentation, Zero Trust, and cloud networking in Azure. You will work hand-in-hand with engineering through build and cutover, ensuring architecture adapts in real time.

Includes leading migrations, documenting configurations, and guiding security decisions across IT and business partners. Travel 0-10% and CISSP/GIAC certs preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information security, or related field.
• 7+ years in an Information Security Architect role.
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (NIST/ISO/ COBIT).
• Experience with cloud and on-prem security architectures.
• One or more Palo Alto Network certifications.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall policy and Azure cloud design.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess current state, design target state, build configuration, cutover.
• Collaborate with engineering through build and implement, closing gaps between architecture and engineering.
• Review existing architecture, identify gaps, and design remediation including debt resolution.
• Document architecture with configurations, not just high-level diagrams.
• Handle RSA tickets in ServiceNow and related efforts.
• Stay current on emerging network security technologies and threats.
