Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and build the security architecture for our environment, from firewall and segmentation to cloud networking. You will work closely with engineering through implementation, not just hand off designs.

You will lead end-to-end migrations, review existing architectures, and document configurations. The role requires collaboration with IT and business partners, plus ongoing exploration of new security technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years in Information Security Architect role.
• 7+ years with regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Advanced knowledge of network technologies: protocols, design concepts, and access control.
• Advanced knowledge of security technologies: encryption, data protection, access privileges.
• Experience with firewall platforms configuration.
• Experience with APIs.
• Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM, or GCP templates.
• Cloud installation/configuration in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• DevSecOps experience.
• Expertise in access control, runtime defense, vulnerability management.
• Experience with internal business customers deploying security products.
• Palo Alto Network certifications (PCNSA/PCNSE/PCCSE/PCSAE).

Responsibilities

• Design network security architecture from the ground up including firewall policy, segmentation, and Zero Trust in Azure.
• Lead end-to-end migrations: assess, design target state, configure, and cutover.
• Collaborate with engineering during build and implementation and adjust design as needed.
• Review architecture for gaps and remediate including legacy configurations.
• Scope and estimate work and hours for security architecture components in projects.
• Serve as technical expert to engineering, IT, and business partners.
• Document architecture with configuration details and diagrams.
• Handle RSA tickets in ServiceNow.
• Stay current on emerging network security technologies and threats.
