Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Network Security Architect to design and implement security architecture across firewalls, segmentation, Zero Trust, and Azure cloud networks. You will collaborate closely with engineering during build and cutover to ensure architecture aligns with real-world implementation.

The role sits in the CIO Office, reporting to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering, with responsibility for documenting configurations and remaining current on security threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or information security is required.
• 7+ years as an information security architect or equal role.
• Experience with NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, etc.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience with APIs and cloud tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation).

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from ground up including firewall policy and cloud architecture.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, target state, build, cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering during build and implementation to adapt designs.
• Reviews and remediates gaps in existing security architecture.
• Prepares estimates for architecture components and projects.
• Acts as technical advisor to engineering, IT, and business partners.
