Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and implement our network security architecture across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will partner with engineering to ensure secure, scalable solutions and stay engaged through implementation rather than handing off designs. The role reports to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering and requires deep hands-on experience with firewall, segmentation, Zero Trust, and cloud networking in Azure, along with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in an Information Security Architect role is required.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT) is required.
• Expert knowledge of network technologies, security controls, and access management.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall policy and cloud architecture.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, design, configure, and manage cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering during build and implementation, adjusting designs as needed.
• Reviews and remediates gaps in existing architecture and addresses technical debt.
• Scopes and estimates work for security components within larger projects.
• Acts as technical expert and advisor to engineering, IT, and business partners.
