Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and implement the security backbone of our environment, from firewall and segmentation to cloud networking in Azure.

You will work alongside engineering through implementation, ensuring architectures are executed as designed and bridging gaps between teams. The role reports to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering within the CISO Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as an Information Security Architect.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Hands-on firewall and network segmentation design experience.
• DevSecOps experience and cloud security expertise.
• Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA/PCNSE/etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall policy, segmentation, and cloud network design in Azure.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, target state, build, and cutover management.
• Collaborates with engineering through build and implementation and adjusts designs in real time.
• Reviews existing architecture, identifies gaps, and remediates in legacy configurations.
• Documents architecture with detailed configuration and diagrams; handles RSA tickets in ServiceNow.
