Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Network Security Architect to design and build robust network security across firewall, segmentation, Zero Trust, and cloud architecture in Microsoft Azure.

You will stay involved through implementation, working with engineering to ensure successful integration. This role sits in the CISO Office, reporting to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering, and requires hands-on collaboration with engineering, IT, and business partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Information Security Architect role
• Experience with NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT or equivalent
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems (intermediate)
• Experience with APIs and cloud tooling (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM)
• DevSecOps experience and architectural leadership

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from ground up including firewall policy, segmentation, Zero Trust, and Azure cloud networking.
• Lead end-to-end migrations: assess, target state, configure, cutover.
• Collaborate with engineers through build and implementation, bridging architecture and engineering.
• Review and remediate legacy security configurations; document architecture with underlying configurations.
• Engage with IT and business partners as trusted security design advisor; work on RSA tickets in ServiceNow.
