Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and implement security architecture across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work closely with engineering through build and cutover, ensuring alignment between architecture and implementation.

The role sits in the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer, reporting to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering. A strong background in firewall design, Zero Trust, and cloud security is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 7+ years in an Information Security Architect role.
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience with APIs and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build network security architecture from ground up including firewall policy, segmentation, Zero Trust, and cloud network architecture in Azure.
• Lead end-to-end migrations: assess, design target state, build configuration, manage cutover.
• Collaborate with engineering through build and implementation, bridging architecture and engineering.
• Review existing architecture, identify gaps, design remediation including legacy config debt.
• Document architecture in conceptual and physical forms with underlying configuration.
