Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Network Security Architect to design and build our security architecture across firewall, segmentation, Zero Trust, and Azure cloud networks.

You will stay engaged through implementation, working closely with engineering to ensure designs translate into working systems. Reporting to the SA&E office, you will drive end-to-end migrations, assess current environments, and document configurations in detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (CS/InfoSec) is required.
• 7+ years in an Information Security Architect role or equivalent is required.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT) is required.
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols, segmentation, and access control is required.
• Hands-on experience with firewall platforms and cloud network architecture is needed.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall policy/configuration, segmentation, Zero Trust and cloud network architecture in Azure.
• Leads technical migrations end to end: assess, design, build, and manage cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering during build and implementation, closing gaps between architecture and execution.
• Reviews and remediates existing network security architecture and resolves legacy technical debt.
• Documents architecture with detailed configuration and diagrams; handles RSA tickets in ServiceNow.
