Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer - Network to drive reliability, scalability, and performance of our global network infrastructure.

You will collaborate with software development, operations, and network teams to define standards and tooling that improve the Akamai Connected Cloud. Responsibilities include defining requirements, building automation pipelines, setting SLOs, and mentoring peers to elevate code quality and architecture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE/Network Reliability or related roles.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency with configuration management tools and networking software.

Responsibilities

• Partner across teams to ensure reliability, scalability and usability of network infrastructure, products and services.
• Define requirements to influence designs and standards within the product lifecycle.
• Develop automation pipelines to support development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Define SLOs for network infrastructure within Akamai Connected Cloud to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with Dev and QA teams to enhance code quality and stability.
• Mentor teammates and provide architectural guidance.
