Job summary

Leidos in Chantilly, VA seeks a Sr. Network Implementation Engineer to design, test, and implement data communications networks, ensuring secure configurations and STIG compliance. You will document diagrams and BOMs, plan upgrades, and support enterprise data flows.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly and extensive hands-on routing/switching experience, with leadership of junior specialists and escalation duties for outages.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.
• 16 years of combined work history and education experience.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance.
• Experience in Tier III+ network operations/design.
• Production network configs for Cisco/Brocade/Juniper.
• Hands-on routing protocols: OSPF/BGP.
• Hands-on switching: VLANs, 802.1q, port-channels.

Responsibilities

• Interpret requirements and document designs with diagrams, BOMs, cabling sheets, configs.
• Schedule maintenance windows for migrations with minimal data impact.
• Provide technical support to Operations engineers; troubleshoot issues.
• Develop secure network designs aligned with STIGs; obtain ATO for new devices.
• Supervise (not manage) other network support specialists.
• Improve design processes and documentation for team efficiency.
• Serve as escalation point for enterprise outages.
