Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Network Implementation Engineer to design, test, and implement computer data communications systems. Responsibilities include documenting designs, scheduling migrations, and supporting fault isolation across enterprise networks.

The role emphasizes secure designs with DISA STIGs, ATO attainment, and collaboration with Operations to resolve incidents and improve network solutions. TS/SCI with Poly is required for the position.

Qualifications

• Experience in network engineering including Tier III+ network operations and design.
• Hands-on routing protocols experience (OSPF, BGP) in production networks.
• Experience with switching, VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channels.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and apply standard design approaches for service delivery.
• Fully document designs with diagrams, BOMs, cabling sheets, configurations, and other supporting documents.
• Schedule maintenance windows to migrate user connections with minimal data-flow impact.
• Provide technical expertise to Operations for fault isolation and resolution.
• Develop secure network designs aligned with DISA STIGs and enterprise policies.
• Obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) for new devices and software.
• Supervise (not manage) other network support specialists to plan and implement services.
• Develop and improve design products, processes, and systems for the team.
• Serve as escalation point for enterprise outage incidents.
