Job summary

Leidos Inc. seeks a Network Implementation Engineer to design, test, and upgrade computer networks, documenting designs with diagrams, BOMs, and cabling sheets. You will plan migrations with minimal data impact and provide expert support to operations teams across enterprise networks.

The role emphasizes secure network design per DISA STIGs, and obtaining Authority to Operate for new devices and software, with guidance to junior specialists and process improvement responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in network engineering including Tier III or higher operations and design.
• Experience with production network hardware configurations for Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper.
• Hands-on experience with OSPF or BGP, VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channels.
• Ability to develop secure designs aligned with DISA STIGs and enterprise policy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and document designs with diagrams, BOMs, cabling sheets, and configurations.
• Schedule maintenance windows to migrate users with minimal data-flow impact.
• Provide technical expertise to Operations engineers and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Develop secure network designs and obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) for new devices.
• Supervise (not manage) other network support specialists to plan and implement services.
• Improve design products, processes, and repositories for efficiency.
