Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Senior Network Engineer to ensure stability and efficiency of in-house information systems supporting the USBICES-X program. You will monitor, maintain, and optimize networks, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide a small team of engineers.

Required: 5+ years in network engineering, Secret/TS/SCI eligibility, CCNA, DoD 8140 compliance, and ITIL Foundation within six months.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related Network Engineering experience.
• Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance, TS, SCI.
• Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
• Must meet DoD 8140 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access; ITIL V4 Foundation within six months.
• Knowledge of data center networking; firewalls, Cisco ISE, NSX; DMVPN and GRE; Cisco/NIX hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Technical Primary Role Support for Coalition Integration Lab’s engineering and testing requirements.
• Support and Deployment for US BICES bi-lat systems and networking.
• Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems.
• Work with decision makers to define business requirements and systems goals; resolve issues.
• Designs and defines network architecture for new or existing computer systems; performs complex network development and design.
• Participates in upgrading operating systems and network enhancements; develops tests to ensure networks meet user requirements.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems; provides training and guidance.
