Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of related experience (minimum 10 years).
• Proven ability to mitigate risks, control costs, and manage large‑scale integrated projects.
• Experience analyzing user requirements, high‑level system architectures, and network performance indicators to develop specifications.
• Strong technical skills in network engineering, Active Directory, and infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support LAN, WAN, AIN, intranet, internet, and other data communication systems.
• Maintain network hardware and software for optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor networks to ensure availability and perform proactive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Coordinate and implement network security measures while mentoring junior and mid‑level engineers.
• Oversee the network control center and provide support for ongoing network‑related projects.
• Design and manage complex network solutions that integrate multiple technologies.
• Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend integration to project managers.
• Plan network configurations for performance and integration, considering system performance characteristics and interface specifications.
• Ensure adequate planning for hardware and communications facilities to support voice, video, and data communication systems.
• Translate business requirements into telecommunications designs including LAN, MAN, WAN, voice, and video solutions.
• Design and integrate new technologies into LAN and WAN environments and lead feasibility studies.
• Document new network designs, develop architecture and design documentation, and troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Interact with government stakeholders to address technical considerations and provide recommendations for network‑related problems.
• Maintain technical integrity of deliverables and communicate effectively with program personnel, government representatives, and senior executives.
