Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for the USBICES-X program located at Langley AFB, VA. You will ensure stability and performance of critical DoD networks, lead a small team, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet mission requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of network engineering, CCNA, and active secret clearance with potential TS/SCI. A BA/BS is preferred, with ITIL v4 foundation within six months.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related Network Engineering experience.
• Secret Clearance required, TS/SCI preferred.
• BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience.
• CCNA certification required.
• ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of data center networking.
• Experience with Firewalls, Cisco ISE, and NSX.
• Routing and switching protocols knowledge (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP).
• Experience with Juniper JUNOS, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NXOS.
• HAIPE encryption devices, COMSEC accounts experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs and defines network architecture for new or existing computer systems.
• Performs complex network development and design work.
• Upgrading operating systems and designing network enhancements.
• Provides input for documentation on networks.
• Develops tests to ensure networks meet user requirements.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems.
• May provide guidance to less-experienced engineers.
• This position also manages a small team of network engineers.
