Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect in Phoenix to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients while mentoring peers. You will lead engineers across multi-technology projects and ensure timely, on-budget delivery through close collaboration with Practice Leads and Project Managers.

The position requires strong leadership, deep networking expertise, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver best-fit solutions and maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Two or more professional level certifications (CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA).
• Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• Knowledge of IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS.
• Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Lead large projects with Project Managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Provide leadership and coordinate engineers to complete tasks accurately and timely.
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Maintain proactive communication with Project Management and stakeholders.
