Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to design, implement, and support network services for consulting clients, while mentoring engineers and guiding multi-technology projects. Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience
• At least two or more Professional level certifications
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA
• Experience designing and architecting network based solutions
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS
• Maintain an outcome focused mindset
• Have strong prioritization skills
• Always be a team player
• Carry a professional attitude and respectful demeanor

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain docs and procedures.
• Lead large projects with Project Managers to meet timelines and budget.
• Provide leadership and guide Engineers on tasks and solutions.
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Provide daily updates and proactive communication to teams and clients.
• Foster collaboration across business units for a world-class customer experience.
• Communicate effectively in team and client meetings.
• Contribute to product selection and research and educate sales teams.
• Maintain professionalism in a regional and virtual team environment.
• Pursue ongoing certifications and skill growth as per engineering matrix.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications

5+ years in a technical field

Two or more professional level certifications

CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA

Network design and architecture

Cisco/HP/Aruba switching & routing

IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS

Routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, QoS
