Job summary

Heartland Business Systems seeks a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients while mentoring others. You will build customer-focused relationships to identify challenges and formulate specifications to reach optimal solutions.

You will lead engineers on multi-technology projects, collaborate with PMs and Practice Leads, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery with strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical field
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications or experience
• At least two professional level certifications
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA
• Experience designing and architecting network solutions
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba switching/routing
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS experience/best practices
• Routing: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2/L3 architecture & design
• Maintain an outcome-focused mindset
• Strong prioritization skills
• Team player
• Professional attitude and respectful demeanor

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain docs and procedures
• Lead large projects with PMs and Practice Leads, on time and on budget
• Provide leadership and guidance to engineers for task accuracy and timeliness
• Act as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects
• Provide daily project updates and proactive communication on timelines, resources, and concerns
• Foster collaboration between business units to deliver a world-class customer experience
• Demonstrate strong communication in team and customer meetings
• Contribute to product selection, configuration standards and educate sales teams
• Work in a team atmosphere across regional and virtual practices with professional demeanor
• Grow skills per engineering skills matrix and maintain certifications
• Aim to meet annual billable hour goals
