Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for clients, mentoring engineers and collaborating with Practice Leads on large projects. The role focuses on designing network-based solutions, leading teams, and maintaining up-to-date certifications.

You will work with Cisco/HP/Aruba gear, apply best practices, and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to deliver world-class results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• At least two or more Professional level certifications.
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA.
• Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS experience and best practices.
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2/L3 architecture and design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Lead large projects with Project Managers to meet time and budget.
• Provide leadership to Engineers and ensure timely task completion.
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Communicate project timelines, hours, resources, and concerns to stakeholders.
• Educate sales teams on products and services to drive solutions.
• Maintain professional demeanor in team and customer meetings.
• Grow skills per the engineering skills matrix and pursue certifications.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience
