Job summary

Heartland Technology Group seeks a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients while mentoring colleagues. This role builds customer-focused relationships to identify business challenges and develop specifications to reach optimal solutions.

You will lead projects with Practice Leads, oversee engineers, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The candidate will hold CCNP/other certifications and hands-on Cisco/HP/Aruba experience with IOS family

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications or experience.
• At least two professional level certifications.
• Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS experience and best practices.
• Routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP; L2/L3 architecture and design; multicast; QoS.
• Maintain an outcome-focused mindset and strong prioritization.
• Be a team player with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Execute on large projects with Project Managers and Practice Leads on time and budget.
• Provide leadership and guide engineers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.
• Be the Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Provide daily updates and proactive communication on timelines, hours, resources, concerns, etc.
• Foster collaboration between business units to deliver a world-class customer experience.
• Demonstrate excellent communication in team and customer meetings.
• Contribute to product selection, standards, and educate sales teams.
• Work across regional and virtual practices maintaining professionalism.
• Grow personally per the Engineering skills matrix.
• Meet annual billable hour goals.
