Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients while mentoring and sharing skills with colleagues. The role focuses on architecting solutions, leading engineers, and maintaining client-focused relationships to identify business challenges and draft specifications.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Practice Leads, delivering on large projects, and maintaining certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience.
• At least two or more Professional level certifications (CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA).
• Experience designing and architecting network based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices.
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS.
• Maintain an outcome focused mindset.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Team player.
• Professional attitude and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Lead on large projects with PMs and Practice Leads, on time and on budget.
• Provide leadership to engineers and ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.
• Be the Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Provide daily project updates and communicate timelines, hours, resources, and concerns.
