Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking a Technical Architect to develop, implement, and support network services for consulting clients while mentoring teammates. This role builds strong client relationships, identifies challenges, and crafts specifications to reach optimal solutions.

The successful candidate will lead Engineers on multi-technology projects, collaborate with Practice Leads, and drive project success while maintaining professional client-facing communication and industry best

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience.
• At least two or more Professional level certifications.
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA.
• Experience designing and architecting network based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices.
• Routing Protocols—OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS.
• Maintain an outcome focused mindset.
• Have strong prioritization skills.
• Always be a team player.
• Carry a professional attitude and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
• Lead large projects with Project Managers to meet time and budget.
• Provide leadership and guide Engineers to ensure timely, accurate tasks.
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Provide daily project updates and proactive communication on timelines and resources.
• Foster collaboration between business units for a world-class customer experience.
• Demonstrate strong communication and lead customer meetings.
• Contribute to product selection, standards, and educate sales teams.
• Work in a regional and virtual team while maintaining professionalism.
• Grow skills per the Engineering skills matrix.
• Meet annual billable hour goal (as defined).
