Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to modernize legacy applications into cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead design, development, and delivery of .NET services and APIs, migrating from SQL Server stored procedures to scalable C# services while maintaining parity with automated tests.

You will mentor offshore teams, drive CI/CD and secure deployments, and collaborate with AWS leads, architects, QA, and product owners to ensure high quality,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Experience designing, building, deploying microservices or distributed applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL development.
• Hands-on experience migrating business logic from stored procedures into application services.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specs, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based security models.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience, including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, and messaging/event-driven technologies (SQS, SNS, EventBridge).
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, API/contract).
• Leadership experience mentoring offshore development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs for cloud-native migration.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure delivery of customer features.
• Mentor offshore teams and provide regular progress updates to leadership.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, compliant deployments.
