Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to drive modernization of legacy applications into cloud-native AWS services. You will lead design, development, and delivery of .NET APIs, mentor offshore teams, and ensure secure, scalable deployments.

With 12+ years in software and 5+ years on .NET/ASP.NET Core, you will shape architecture, implement microservices, and partner with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software development with 5+ years in modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Designing, building, deploying microservices or distributed apps.
• Strong C#, .NET, SQL Server and advanced T-SQL.
• Migrating business logic from stored procedures to application services.
• RESTful API design, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, and JWT security models.
• EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, SQS/SNS/EventBridge).
• Automated testing frameworks: unit, integration, API/contract.
• Leadership experience managing offshore development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs for cloud-native migration to AWS.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and standards.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor offshore teams and remove blockers with regular progress updates.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by moving logic from SQL Server procedures to C# services with automated tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, reliable production releases with compliance.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality and security.
