Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong .NET (C#) background and experience in PHP/Laravel to bridge the Microsoft stack with legacy PHP apps in a mature SaaS platform.

You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and core business logic, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with Product, QA, and Engineering teams in an agile environment.

Experience modernizing legacy systems and cloud skills (Azure preferred) are a plus.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong .NET (C#) background and prior experience developing applications in PHP/Laravel. This role is ideal for someone who has transitioned from PHP into the Microsoft stack or someone who is equally comfortable working across both technologies.

You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for a mature SaaS platform while helping support an evolving technology stack.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in a SaaS environment.
• Build new features primarily using .NET (C#) while also supporting existing PHP/Laravel applications.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and business logic.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver new functionality.
• Review project requirements and translate technical specifications into production-quality code.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and help drive engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience with .NET (C#).
• Previous hands-on experience developing applications with PHP/Laravel.
• Experience with React (preferred) or Angular.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Ability to balance technical debt with business priorities.
• Comfortable working independently in a collaborative Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within SaaS platforms.
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications.
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred).
• Passion for mentoring teammates and improving engineering processes.
