Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated in Norfolk, VA seeks a Senior Operations Manager - Key Personnel to direct contract performance for the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Norfolk, VA. You will be the principal administrator and interface to Government authorities, ensuring execution meets performance standards.

This high-visibility role requires over 10 years in defense program management, exceptional leadership, and strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
• MA or MS degree from an accredited institution.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in defense program management, military operations, or contract administration performing the functional duties described above.
• Exceptional executive leadership capabilities and elite communication presence required to brief senior military and civilian stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the entire contracted effort, ensuring all contract deliverables meet standards.
• Serve as the principal point of contact to Government program authorities on high-level technical, program, and project management challenges.
• Direct, evaluate, and monitor contractor execution of performance metrics, SOW requirements, and milestones.
• Manage strategic acquisition, allocation, and employment of program resources, including staffing, budgeting, and asset deployment.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and establish streamlined workflows to maintain schedule and integrity.
