Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead contract execution for the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Norfolk, VA. The role is the principal administrator and liaison with Government authorities, optimizing resources and driving technical and administrative excellence for critical naval aviation platforms.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance, an MA/MS degree, and 10+ years in program management or defense operations, with

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
• Master of Arts or Master of Science degree from an accredited institution.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in program management, defense operations, or contract administration.
• Deep understanding of NAVAIR program office operations, defense acquisition pathways, and government contract management (FAR compliance).
• Exceptional executive leadership and communication skills to brief high-level military and civilian stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the entire contracted effort, ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with Government program authorities on technical, program, and project management issues.
• Direct and monitor contractor execution of performance metrics, SOW requirements, and milestones.
• Manage staffing, budgeting, and asset deployment for program resources.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and establish workflows to maintain schedule and integrity.
