Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with National Property.
• Deep knowledge of property-related products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Deep financial acumen.
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation abilities.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• May facilitate foreign admitted policies and support global underwriting capabilities.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with consultative sales skills.
• Develop agency sales plans with MD for region/group strategies.
• Assist in training of less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
