Qualifications

• Six to eight years of underwriting experience, with National Property exposure.
• Strong knowledge of property-related products and regulatory environment.
• Excellent financial acumen and risk assessment.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities in dealing with agents/brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Coordinate with field Account Executives on global underwriting capabilities when applicable.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to develop sales plans and cross-sell opportunities.
• Meet with agents/brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with Managing Director support.
• Provide training or mentorship to less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
