Job summary

Power Careers LLC is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for a capital-backed manufacturer of custom power-distribution equipment serving data centers, utilities, and industrial customers.

The role focuses on engineering-to-order MV switchgear, translating specifications into coordinated equipment configurations, and producing accurate documentation for manufacturing. Hybrid work is available as the team expands its MV engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with switchgear, switchboards, or related power-distribution equipment.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into equipment drawings and manufacturing deliverables.
• Practical understanding of breaker controls, CTs/PTs, protection interfaces, interlocks, and wiring.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specs and single-line diagrams to develop order-specific switchgear configurations.
• Prepare or review electrical schematics, diagrams, wiring, BOMs.
• Coordinate controls, CT/PT interfaces, protection, interlocks with mechanical and project teams.
• Evaluate configurations against ANSI/IEEE C37 standards and type-test info.
• Support manufacturing and testing with technical clarifications.
• Improve documentation quality and enable controlled engineering releases.
• Mentor developing engineers and organize reusable technical information.
