Sargent & Lundy seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to lead MV power system design, project planning, and field coordination. You will analyze complex electrical issues, prepare client-ready reports, and collaborate with design teams to deliver high-quality substations.

The role includes potential travel and a hybrid work arrangement. Required are a BS in engineering, 7+ years in MV substations, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
• 7+ years in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects.
• Experience tracking schedules and expenditures against budgets.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Work on challenging assignments investigating and solving electrical issues.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information to meet client needs.
• Share knowledge with peers through Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
